The short version
The numbers you type into our calculators never leave your device. We have no account system, we do not sell data, and we run no advertising. We do use Google Analytics to count visits, which is described in full below.
Calculator inputs
Every calculation on this site is performed by JavaScript running inside your own browser. File sizes, connection speeds and results are never transmitted to our servers, because no server is involved in the calculation. Nothing is logged and nothing persists after you close the tab.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and to see which pages and languages people actually need. It tells us how many people visited a page, the country they were in, and which site or search engine sent them. It never receives your calculator inputs — those are computed in your browser and are never transmitted anywhere. Google processes this data on our behalf and receives your IP address in the process. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing Google's official browser opt-out add-on.
Cookies
Google Analytics stores two first-party cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by our property ID. They hold a randomly generated identifier so that one person visiting twice is not counted as two people. They contain no name, email or address, are readable only by this site, and expire after two years. We set no advertising cookies and belong to no ad network. Preferences such as your chosen language are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie.
Email you send us
If you contact us, we keep your message and address only for as long as it takes to reply and to fix whatever you reported. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Third parties
Two companies process data on our behalf. A commercial hosting and CDN provider serves the site and handles standard request data such as IP address and user agent for security and delivery. Google provides the analytics described above. We do not sell personal information, and we share none of it with anyone else.
Children
This site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
The analytics data we hold is pseudonymous — it is tied to a random cookie identifier, not to you — so we have no way to find, export or delete your rows on request. You can remove that identifier at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. If you have contacted us by email and want that correspondence removed, ask and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
