Is 1,000 Mbps fast enough?

What a 1,000 Mbps line comfortably supports.

1,000 Mbps is gigabit-class — faster than most homes can use, and usually limited by hardware rather than the line.

At 125 MB/s the connection is no longer the bottleneck. Reaching this speed needs wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi 6, a source server willing to serve that fast, and a drive that can write it. Most single downloads will not saturate the line on their own.
